The Hansen Foundation strives to support the comprehensive and holistic rehabilitation of any person that seeks recovery. Our goal is to give individuals a sense of belonging, safety, and purpose so that they can find a life worth living and embrace long-term sustainable recovery.
Our Mission
To transform lives in recovery by providing access to treatment, safe housing and long-term recovery resources. One Person at a time, one day at a time.
Our Vision
We strive for a world where every individual in recovery has the opportunity and support to live a healthy, independent, and fulfilling life.
“Choosing to stay in Serenity House sober living was tough, but it saved my life. I found community and formed strong bonds with the other men, which gave me a sense of belonging I hadn’t felt in years. Through the Solid Roots program, I gained employment and learned the value of being dependable, which led to a job. With time in recovery, I returned to school to further my education.”

Jennifer Hansen:
When Jennifer began her sobriety journey at the age of 25, she realized that the only way to truly repay the gift of recovery she was given was to give it away to others. From that moment on, Jennifer’s sense of purpose was ignited. She founded the Hansen Foundation as a vehicle through which she would dedicate her life to the pursuit of helping people in early recovery rebuild their lives.
Edwina Hansen:
At the heart of our mission is Edwina Hansen, Vice President of the Foundation and Jennifer’s mother. For more than 30 years, Edwina and Jennifer have led transformative initiatives that provide critical support to individuals and families impacted by addiction. Edwina’s unwavering commitment, compassion, and love has touched countless lives and continues to shape the Foundation’s work every day.
